Bordo Scratch Brushes

Bordo’s extensive range of scratch brushes are available in three different wire materials, various wire diameters and with differing numbers of wire rows.

Steel Wire These brushes are suitable for a range of general applications in the paint, welding, and automotive trades. They are constructed using tempered steel wire and are the most economical general purpose brush.

Stainless Steel Wire Stainless wire scratch brushes are primarily used for metal finishing on smooth surfaces such as plating. The stainless steel wire is non-corrosive and suitable where hygiene requirements are a consideration or where moisture is present. Stainless steel wire scratch brushes are predominantly used in the welding or painting industries. Stainless steel wire resists oxidation and rusting.

Brass Wire Brass bristles remove residues from metal without severely scratching the surface and are ideal for use in tooling production and aluminum welding. They may also used for cleaning grills and some ovens. Brass wire scratch brushes are softer than tempered steel and will not scratch enamelled surfaces.

Bordo stocks an extensive range of twist knot and crimped wire cup brushes.

Twist knot brushes are available in both steel wire and stainless steel wire in diameters from 70mm up to 125mm.

Crimped wire brushes are manufactured from 0.3mm steel wire and are available in diameters from 75mm up to 125mm.

Bordo’s range of wire wheels includes twist knot wheels, twist knot bevel wheels and crimped wire wheels.

Twist knot wheels are available in steel wire in diameters from 85mm up to 200mm. Twist Knot bevel wheels are supplied in either 100mm or 115mm diameter in steel wire.

Crimped wire wheels are available in both steel wire and stainless steel wire in diameters from 100mm up to 250mm.
